As a history buff, I am drawn to World War II. Even growing up, my obsession with aviation and everything military stems from traveling the country and visiting airshows with my dad. At an early age I remember finishing models in a day and hanging them in my room and now, 20 years later, I have picked the hobby back up and changed the completion rate from days to years. The thing that draws me most to modeling is the research. From the nuances between chromate green and interior green to canopy designs, the details are what I live for. I always start every kit thinking this time I’ll just do the basics and actually finish one but I always end up over-detailing and prolonging the process.
