The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engine heavy bomber designed for the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. It was a fast flying, long range, heavily defended with thirteen .50 caliber M2 Browning machine guns, and able to carry 8,000lbs of bombs.

The first snips of the spruce have been made and the construction of Revell’s 1/72 B-17G have begun. I started with the first steps in the instructions which are to construct the bombay. I decided to have the bombay doors in the closed position, so I constructed just what was needed to merge the bulkheads…
This will be a lot of firsts for me, I have never built a kit from Revell and never a 1/72 scale kit. I was surprised by the quality of this kit as I have never ranked Revell as a high end kit player but the amount of goodies they provide in such a small…
