A Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 from the Wing Headquarters Flight, 2nd Luftwaffe Fighter Wing (Stab./JG 2) designated as “Black Chevron Bar” (W.Nr. 5749). This aircraft was flown by Hauptmann Wilhelm Balthasar. Balthasar had more than 45 aerial victories before he was shot down by a Spitfire on February 16th, 1941. Artwork by Claes Sundin.
