A North American P-51D-10-NA Mustang (WD-D, serial number 44-14570) nicknamed “Thunderbird” of the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group. This aircraft was assigned to Captain Ted E Lines of Mesa, Arizona. Although Ted is officially credited with 10 victories, examination of combat reports indicates that he actually destroyed 14.
